This was the original group. It was one of the four largest friendship groups for women on the internet. It began in 1998 and carried on for a few years, until it split apart. Netsisters Org and Netsisters Forever then existed at the same time! For a while, one was not permitted to be a member of both groups. We had to choose sides! One feature of Netsisters Org was that it was run by several very strong personalities. More strong personalities joined as leaders of the various committees. And the feathers began to fly! I know I had a problem with one committee leader. I was supposed to be helping her as her co-leader, then NSO went to the summer break. When we came back, I found that she had asked her close friend to fill the position and I was pushed out. I was very upset, not only because I felt proud to be doing something for NSO apart from being a member of a committee. I had a role to play, and yes, I was hurt that it was snatched away from me by someone who preferred to have her friend instead. When I feel nostalgic for the days of NSO, I remember that.
